Driftgarage is a small workshop in Burton Upon Trent specialising in the transportation, preparation and repair of Japanese drift cars, building cars from a shell to road and drift specification, and carrying out engine swaps and conversions. We also do the day to day servicing and repair of road biased cars, and always have a few cars breaking for parts. Transporting cars also takes up a fair portion of the working week and we have carried some of the country's most famous (and low!) drift cars to events this past year. If you have drunkenly bought a car on Ebay and realised you can't get it home, we can also help you out. Just email for a competitive quote on our fully insured trusty transporter.
We ran our own car in the British Drift Championship (BDC), which was most recently a Nissan 180sx with a 1JZ GTE engine and gearbox conversion from a Toyota Soarer, built and driven by Driftgarage founder Mitch Clarke. More on this car can be found in the projects section.
This season will be less competition focussed and more fun based due to the unpredictability of opening a company, so the only driving will be at practice and demo days for 2010. Having said that, we're keeping involved with the BDC this year as assistant judge (boo hiss) to Jordan Butters and Julian Smith. It's sometimes a difficult and thankless task but an essential one, and I'm very happy to be part of the team.
